Love how you can now just click on the next video to see the next one like a photo bucket . Instead of having to scroll down the page to view each one separately. Must be one of the up grades they were doing when the site was down. If this was always available (in this format) then I must not have been aware of it. But than I'm kind of slow with technical ingenuity stuff.

I know what you all mean about Randy's distinctive sound. I remember very well turning on the radio one day way back in 1986, hearing someone sing "operator, please connect me to 1982" and instantly wondering who had the great voice. Of course, it turned out to be a new guy named Randy Travis and I've been hooked ever since. I can't hardle stand to listen to anyone else, his sound and his songs can be so soothig. Even after such a long and prolific career, his talent is still as good as ever. Thanks you Randy, and it is fun to be on this site where he is appreciated! kmacpink

to have had your daughter be in one of Randy's most beloved song video's. I'm sure it was quite a thrill and I'm sure as Linda mentioned quite a memory to have. Is she a Randy fan today?

Some of us have met Randy in person. Have had the opportunity to chat with him. He has a way about putting you at ease. I'm not at all surprised that he was so gentle and loving toward your little girl (at the time). For someone who has no children of his own, he does seem to have a way with them. I think it is just his gentle naturalness that comes through to them. That puts them at ease in his presence.

Thanks for sharing your exprience with us, and welcome to Randy's offical site. Dee

Like Dee, I too have always been drawn to unique voices and prior to Randy, not always country but two that come to mind for me are Neil Diamond and John Denver. Although by far, Randy is my favorite and the best, I still like the music of the other two. but randy, I could listen to all day. He just has that sincerity about what he is singing that makes him the true specialist in his field.

BTW, let me say welcome to TexasGal and thank her for sharing the fact that her dughter was in the video. that has to be quite a memory and those of us who have had the privilege and honor of meeting Randy couldn't agree with you more about Randy himself. thank you for the kind words about him.

I've always been drawn to distinctive voices. Nat King Cole, Randy Travis, to name my very two favorites.

But it is also their interpretive skills of a lyrics that enhances their uniqueness. Randy has an understated quality to his delivery that truly give the story of the song a genuiness. Nat had that same quality to his voice and singing .

I love how he sings a line in a song differently then the first time he sings it. For example in "Love Is A Gamble"He sings :
"You/ve had true love, since the day you were born. The first time he sings that line, he does it as a simple statement.
Then the second time he emphesizes the words since the day YOU WERE BORN to give importance to the value of you. To those who know what true love really is....your parents.

"Love Is A Gamble" is one of my favorites on "ATB'.

His interpretive skills , along with a voice so unique in sound and timber is what sets him apart from others, who just sing words. Randy tells you the story of the lyrics when he delivers a song

I think it was Drew who once said in an interview regarding Randy's ability to touch the emotions of an audience." That he FEELS what he is singing, rather then just singingT he words. And that is what comes across in his voice, as well as on his CD's". I agree totally. Dee

I agree with you both. There is no mistaking that voice. He is the best and always will be. I don't care to listen to anyone else. Butterfly

Texas gal said Randy Travis has the "most unique voice ever." That is for certain. One does not mistake Randy for anyone else - and he has such a range and superb quality in his voice.

My daughter is the little girl on hobby horse in this video...she is also in the playpen - we spent the day filming with Randy and he was so good with my Addie...she is now 17 years old. My how time flies. He has the most unique voice ever.

ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER SANG..........WHENEVER I SING KARAOKE IT'S THE ONE I OPEN WITH,EVERYONE LOVES THIS SONG.THANK YOU RANDY...........FAN FOR LIFE..........ALAN

I love this one It takes me back to when i was a kid listening to randy with my mom on the radio. Your Voice reminds me of my dad he had a very distinct voice also. Everytime I hear you sing i think of my father who died of lung cancer. I listne to you on sirius and everytime one of your sons comes on i rewind it for hours drives my husband crazy...

I have been a devoted Randy Travis follower since the mid 80's when he first came on the scene. (I was in junior high school!) Out of all his albums and songs, this is my all time favorite. The song is meaningful and the video makes it even more perfect, if that's even possible! My daddy and I were very close like the video portrays and when he died of cancer in 2004 I lost my greatest supporter! Thanks to Randy for still making those songs that speak to your heart.

rany travis is the best singer in the world, to me any how whisper my name is one of my favorites song.
