This song made me tear up. Although my Dad has always shown his love for us, he has always been very strong through all situations. Since my Mom died, I have seen his sensitivity and vulnerablity, too. The song is 100% on target. Great music and great words.

same here on tearing up I no the first time I saw the video and heard the song I loved it the box is one of my favorites by RANDY.

"The Box" is a song that carries such a wonderful and sure does touch the heart. Randy puts the words in how the man carried his precious moments in life in a small box and Randy sings it in a way that it is just simply amazing and once you hear this song, your heart is touched. This is what I call one of the BEST by the GREATEST country singer, Randy Travis!! =)

I know i've mentioned this before so to some it will be repetative but the first time I heard it was live in Vegas just before the This Is Me CD came out. it was February of 1994 and I had just lost my step-dad to cancer the August of '93. He was one that never hesitated to say he loved us. So as I listened to the words, it tore me up also. I was trying not to let Randy see me as he may have wondered what the heck was going on although I'm sure he'd understand. Maybe he even did see me and left it alone.

but i do know what you mean, c.kaye, it is a powerful song.
