Welch, MN | Randy Travis

I am amazed at how good Randy Travis always sounds! This concert was no exception, even though Randy admitted he did not sound his best due to sinus issues he was having. We had pretty good seats, despite them being side of stage! Before the show my kids and I actaully saw several of his band members walking around the hotel lobby. Nobody that I saw even recognized them. I went up to them and we talked for a few minutes. Lance Dary kept messing with my kids and complimenting me on my shirt (a Randy Travis fan club shirt). I kind of wish Randy would change up his line-up of music at least every year because all the songs he played were almost in the exact order as the concert we went to last year. I know I am going to hear the same songs (because he has to play all of his best) but a few different ones now and then or even change the order they are played. That was the only thing disappointing to me and I can live with that since it is Randy!!!!

he sang Whisper My Name and a few great gospel songs, which I loved hearing! His songs are so wonderful and always sound amazing with his awesome voice and the emotions he puts into the song!

One thing Randy did is in the middle of his show, towards the end, he introduced a man that he and his wife, Elizabeth, had heard singing in Ireland. He had this guy sing a couple of songs and his voice was absolutely amazing! (not as good as Randy, but he will be famous!) He said he and Elizabeth heard him sing and she signed on immediately as his manager and they are promoting him now. Amazing singer!! He sang two songs and then talked about Randy and Elizabeth for a minute and then he handed the show back over to RT!

After the show, I was able to get a guitar pick with Randy's signature on it for me and each of my kids, from his lead guitar player.

I then saw Randy's wife and went and talked to her and got her autograph (like the crazy RT fan I am). She told me Randy is working on a new duets album and a few other things for the not-so-distant future, so we still have a lot to look forward to from our Randy Travis!

His shows are always amazing and I am already looking forward to the next year tour listing!!
