I'm trying to buy tickets to the Randy Travis concert on the main stage at RiverFest in Gadsden, Alabama, on 11 June, and haven't been able to find them. Is the concert sold out or are the tickets just not available yet? I would really appreciate someone letting me know since I've already reserved a hotel room for that night and need to cancel it if the concert is sold out.

I wasn't there. I wish I could have been. But did enjoy looking at all the pictures. There were quite a few. Not that I am at all suprised. Randy is still a fan favorite and quite popular even after all these years.

I was at Nashville but could not get near to have my photo taken with him. I did not know about the ticket system and no one told me about it even though I asked. But not to worry I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I saw him across the room my husband said he had never seen me go so quick just to be shot down when I got near. Randy was the only one that you could not get near. He was busy all the time but what a smile he could melt you.
A long time ago, Alan Jackson was at fan fair and he walked through the crowd and just started hugging people at random. It made all the country news people and the word went out that they wished several other stars would do the same. It was just a 10 minute walk to his booth, but the people who attend these fanfests still talk about it. After Randy had his back surgery, he was (according to some other country news reports) told to avoid crowds who might enthusiastically hug him too hard. Then some bimbo pulled him down on stage one night and kissed him and could have really hurt him. Certain stars just have to be careful.. I am sorry that you didn't get to shake his hand and see him up close. Good luck next time.
