Even though its such a great honor and one Im sure that Randy is proud of, Randy is still going strong as his career approaches 25 years in the business. The only thing that has changed is that "country" radio has changed its format. Its no longer country music that they play. Randy Travis is the best thing to ever happen to country music. It really saddens me to no end that they (country radio) have turned their back on him. They should understand without Randy coming along back in the 80's, country music as we know it, would have never made it!

Randy Travis deserves the Pioneer Award and he is still going strong. He is STILL the very best in country music - TRUE genuine country music. Randy is the very best stylist and sings with genuine pathos. His love for this music is obvious and we love him for singing it all these years. Thank you Randy and thank you Elizabeth.

I agree-----Randy is the best and always be. There will never be another voice like Randy's. God give him a special voice that grabs your heart and will not let go. I think his voice is perfect. Randy, I told you 23 years ago that you didnt need to go this long to be a legend, that still holds true in my heart, I am so glad you did stick around your fans love you not only as an entertainer but as a person who after all this time has not let your sucess ,treat anyone like oh i dont need your support i am the best for that i thank you and mrs.
