Randy Travis to perform at Summer Grove

Fans may have most recently seen country and gospel music star Randy Travis during
a performance with "American Idol" winner Carrie Underwood.
But local fans can hear him in person when the award-winning artist performs in "An
Inspirational Evening with Randy Travis" at Sunday at Summer Grove Baptist Church.
Travis will perform with his full band in an unplugged, acoustic concert featuring
his hits, including "Three Wooden Crosses," "Inspirational Journey," "Rise and Shine,"
"Worship & Faith" and more. Travis will also share his personal testimony.
Travis' legendary career includes more than 25 million records sold, including six
number one albums, six Grammys, seven Gospel Music Association Dove, six Country
Music Association and nine American Country Music awards.
He's also enjoyed an equally successful acting career and has appeared and guest
starred in several top-rated TV dramas, including "Touched by an Angel," and "Matlock"
as well as roles in Francis Ford Coppola's big-screen treatment of John Grisham's
"The Rainmaker" and the late Patrick Swayze feature "Black Dog."
