Last year I was priviledged to be able to attend a taping that Randy did for the Feed The Children Foundation. They are airing part of this taping on Tri-State Christian Network.
I DVR the Christian Celebrity Showcase each week on TBN. Normally I do not even have time to watch it but I always check to make sure that Randy is not on it before I delete it. I fast forwarded through the opening credits last night and saw that Ricky Skaggs was the guest. I almost didn't watch it. It was an old interview from 1988 but I found it very interesting. Then after the portion with Ricky was over pictures of Randy popped on the screen. Hagee interviewed him for a few minutes and then he sang Raise Him Up and He's My Rock, My Sword, My Shield. It was great!
Check this out..
Radio station KGRT added a small video to their August 22nd blog of Randy singing The Sopapilla Song.
Enjoy!
Just one week until the concert in Riverside. I am so excited! I noticed on their website today that this concert is now sold out. Can't wait!

Randy Travis continues to impress audiences with powerful performances, and now local fans can see him at Shooting Star Casino, Hotel and Event Center in Mahnomen, Minn.
The musician and actor is scheduled to play one sold-out concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29. The musician brings his unmistakable baritone and extensive catalog of country hits to the Shooting Star stage.
Watching the ACM Awards and what is currently passing for country music makes me appreciate our Randy even more.
It was the first week of June, 1986. I got up in the middle of the night to feed my newborn son. After flipping through the stations I finally settled on a local station that used CMT as a filler in the early morning hours. I am not sure why I did that because I was not a fan of country music. I was relaxing in the recliner half asleep when suddenly I was startled awake. For a second I couldn't figure out what had happened. Then I heard the voice. It was Randy of course, singing On the Other Hand. I have been hooked since that very moment.
