Enjoy the great blog Martha Williamson, executive producer of Touched By An Angel, has written about Randy in her online blog "A Touch of Encouragement"

Yesterday Beliefnet.com released the "official" announcement of "A Touch of Encouragement" to the media. Obviously it was a big day for us, and it was made all the more special for me when I discovered that on the very same day, Randy Travis released his first mainstream country album since 1999.
Now, as some of you know, I'm a big Randy Travis fan. I love his voice, I love his music, I love his honesty, I love his genuine humility and commitment to his faith. He's the only country musician I listen to. Sometimes I wonder if he's the only true country music singer left. But that's another blog....
In recent years, Randy has been recording inspirational gospel music and blessing us all by adding his incomparable voice to words of praise and worship.
Now, with "Around The Bend," it appears that he has returned to "just country." But with Randy, there is no such thing. This is Travis Country, and every song he sings - love song, ballad, even a Dylan tune, is still in its own way an inspirational testimony from a heart full of love.
The Dallas Morning News praised "Around The Bend" saying "Bottom Line: fans of Josh Turner and Chris Young, both so affected by Mr. Travis's artistry, should rediscover the master. He hasn't lost his greatness."
It's nice to have something like the same "release date" in common with somebody like Randy Travis. But when I stop to think about it, we've always had something much more important in common: the knowledge that whatever project we put our hands to has its best chance of success when it begins in the hands of the real Master. "Unless the Lord builds the house (or the website or the CD) we labor in vain" the Bible tells us.
I believe that means that no matter how successful anything or anyone is, the things that last are the eternal things, the words of love, the acts of kindness, the songs of hope, and maybe the occasional touch of encouragement. Any one of us can pass those things along. And with God's blessing, that can make any day a special one. I hope this is one of those days for you.
Love to all,
Martha

Very Heartwarming
Thanks Randy's Team and Martha, for that very moving blog entry from one of the entertainment industries best producers. "Touched By An Angel" was and always will be ,one of my all time favorite shows. I was sad to see it conclude. I have several of the episodes on video. Especially those with Randy in them. I had once read that they were considering doing specials every now and then . But guess nothing became of that idea. I would love to see them do another show like TBA. Dee
So Right Martha!
You are so right Martha when you say Randy is a decent and godly man. Randy and Elizabeth attended my church when I ministered on Maui 1993 to 1998, and I remember them bringng you to our worship one Sunday. It was a real pleasure to meet you and know of your faith in the Master. Randy has written the Foreword to my new book called "Storms of Life." He personally gave me permission to use the title of his first big Warner Bros. album. God bless and keep you all.

thanks for Sharing
To the RT Team: Thanks for sharing. I've always liked Martha and loved TBAA. I know I'm not alone as evidenced by the fact the Hallmark Channel tried to take it off some time last year and because of numerous comments on that site, they re-instated the airing of it last January.
As Dee commented, it is indeed heartwarming.

baptism song
I don't know if Randy will see this or not, but I do hope so. I used to listen to Randy Travis' music alot in the 1980's when my husband and I were dating (my hubby was a HUGE Randy fan and I also grew to like his music very much). Anyways, a brother in Christ posted his baptism song on our fellowship site (a fellowship site dedicated to sanctity of marriage). http://www.cadz.net/mdr.html
He recently was baptised and this song meant much to him. I was greatly encouraged to hear that Randy also became a Christian and look forward to hearing about his further growth in the Lord.
Blessings,
Cindy
