Question on RT Song...

Howdy everybody. I recently found a song of Randy which I have no idea where it comes from but it is my first time that I actually hear it and I like it a lot. The name of it is "I Don't See Me In Your Eyes Anymore" I never heard of it till now. Where does this song come from ?? Anyone know ?? I would like to know. Thank you for taking your time in reading my Blog. I appreciate it :)

It's not like I knew for sure..I went to Google , put the name of the song, and it came up..I do that a lot for songs..Thanks Linda and Dee for your input..

cherokey42, like you, i just put the names in for both artists because, as i mentioned, i thought someone else had posted that info just prior to Randy's release of the song. In fact, I hadn't ever heard it before so it was Jim Reeves, via Youtube, wherein I first heard it and just knew I'd love it by Randy. And of course, I did!!!

I don't see me, in your eyes anymore
All I can't hide, make them shine as before
I don't see you, or your heart in your kiss
That you should say, that your mind you resist

There was a tiem life was fine, Love was estacy,
But now I doubt, what the outcome will be
I pray you'll say, I'm the one you adore
Than I'll see me, in your eyes as before
repeat the second verse
and last line

Cherokey is this the song you are thinking of?

Dee, sent you via e-mail a Jim Reeves version on Youtube - found lots of references also of Charlie Rich having done it so she is correct.

I thought I recalled having read that previously also at the time Randy's version came out.

I'd post the link here but blogs then tink it is spam nowadays (lol).

Thanks Linda, I did just read your email and responded. Also, listened to Jim's version which is quite good . And close to Randy's rendition.
So Cherokey42 was right after all. I really wasn't aware that either man had recorded it. But as I mentioned my mom was a huge Perry como fan and his was the only one that I rememberd ever hearing. But I'm glad I was wrong.

If it's the same song that I'm thinking of, it was also sang by Jim Reeves, Charlie Rich, Perry Como and a few others over the years..

Cherokey, I honestly don't know if either Jim Reeves or Charlie Rich sang it. I'm not suggesting they haven't . I simply don't recall them singing it.
I had a lot of Jim Reeves albums when he was big on the scene. But don't recall that being on any of them. Of course that was back when they had Vynal and 8 tracks. I know I no longer have any of those. LOL.

Itunes is where I actually saw the song at first, but did not know it was actually from the album. I thought it was like a hits album with songs, and I was wonderful from where exactly the song came from. But thanks a lot for telling me because now I totally understand !! Lol ... I appreciate your help. Thank you very much !! ... and yes the song is great !! As you said, as usual, Randy did a wonderful job !! Which he does with any song !! Once again, thanks, I apprecaite it :)

Jasmin, that song is an old Perry Como song. You wouldn't know who he was since he was a big ballad singer of pop music when I was younger than you are now. He was one of my moms favorite male artists when I was growing up. The song was a huge hit for him.

Linda is right it is on" The Imus Ranch Album". All album proceeds went to the Ranch for children of special needs that Imus runs.

Imus selected each song that each artist sang on it. I was quite surprised when I read in an article that he had selected that one for Randy. I always liked that song.

Couldn't wait to hear Randy's singing of it. And as usual he does a fabulous job with it. One of the internet country stations was playing it when the album got released. Which really surprised me. But also made me very happy as they were the only station that I know of that gave it any spins.

I imagine you might still be able to get the album via Amazon. Or maybe you can buy the single from them or itunes if you haven't already .

I do not know how I missed it either and I know you have not sent me the song before. But I found it yesterday and I listened to it, and really enjoyed it very much!! There has not been one song that Randy has sang, that I have disliked. Everything he sings, and every song I listen by him, I absoutly love!! LOL!! But thanks for letting me know my friend :)

Jasmin, not sure how you missed this - there was quite the conversation about it just before it was released in September of 2008. It was from a Don Imus project he did with various artists.
It appears to be available on Amazon. I believe it probably was on the list i sent you. But anyway, that is where it is from.
