Nashville, TN
Have any of y'all been to Nashville, TN?? I have always wanted to visit Nashville since I am a country music lover. If you did, how was it? If I ever visit, I would loveee to see the Grand Ole Opry as well. And of course head down to visit the Great Smokey Mountains as well. But on the other hand, how is it down in Nashville? Thanks. I will enjoy reading your responses.

Nashville is awesome!!! I was there back in 2001 for my high school graduation gift. I first stopped in Memphis and went to Graceland while I was there, then the next day we drove up to Nashville for a few days. In Nashville, I went to the Grand Ole Opry for a show. I went to the Country Music Hall Of Fame. That was a blast. I stopped in to see the Opryland Hotel. That was very cool. I did get the chance to go to the Nashville Palace before it got torn down (I can't remember when that happened.) The music and food were awesome their.
I really enjoyed it. Nashville is just a fun place. I also got to go on the General Jackson Show Boat, that is so much fun. You get dinner and a show, while going down the river for awhile before going back to shore. That is another fun thing to do while in Nashville. I definitely would go back if I could. I hope one year that, I make it to CMA Festival (Fan Fair). I did not get to go to the Smokey Mountains, or to Dolly Wood. That is some other things that I would like to do.
Jacquelyn, you're absolutely right - those are all great things. I had forgotten about the General Jackson. I always hoped that randy would be on the General Jackson but of course he never was when I went.
If someone is a country music fanatic, Opryland Park had shows almost all day long and there were so many artist shops one could shop in. Of course i really only visited Randy's gift shop the three or four times i was there. After being there, couldn't afford much else (lol).
I'd never say not to go to nashville; there is still plenty to see3, especially if you're just plain interested in country music.
As for the bars, I just don't hang out in them so never was inspired to do so, even in Nashville.
The Nashville Palace, as mentioned, did have great food, especially in light of the fact it was such a tourist attraction.

The bars are to be experienced the music downtown is great. The museum is fantastic a must to see. The Oprey and the Ryman are great. But out of it all we just love the music. Hope you get there soon.
