I was at the Grand Ole Opry back in 1989 or 1988. I happened to catch Randy in concert there--didn't know he'd be on stage while we were visiting Tennessee, but lucked out! We also lucked out with front row seating! Anyway, I walked up to the stage and Randy was standing right in front of me on the stage. I froze. I always thought I'd never be the type of person who was "star struck", but seeing him that up close was just shocking to me. All these years later, I find myself of thinking how blessed I was to catch him while visiting Tennessee and especially blessed in getting front row seating. I often think of the song by the Oak Ridge Boys "Do You Know You are My Sunshine" wherein they talk about a girl who came up to the stage requesting a song and they look for her now years later at every concert---wondering if Randy even took notice to me. Now, I hear the song "I Can Only Imagine" and I think that if I saw Randy in concert and was fortunate enough to get front row seating, the lines from that song make me think of seeing him in that setting" What will my heart feel, will I dance for you Jesus, or in awe of you be still. Will I be able to speak at all--I can only imagine." Not to lessen the Jesus factor in that song. of course, being that Jesus is number one all around, but if I did have the opportunity to see Randy in a front row seating again, I wonder how I'd react these days now that I'm a grown woman!
Just some thoughts....

Just a couple shows ago, a friend of ours (who now lives in Fla). Was with us when we met Randy outside of the Sands Casino in NJ. several years ago. Had attended his show at one of the Strawberry Festivals down there this past week. He recognized him . He talked to him briefly. Remembered about his ( Bud) just having gotten out of the hospital when he had attended one of his shows. Asked how the rest of the gang was doing? So I think he would remember you, if he saw your face more than once or twice at his shows.
