Happy Birthday to me!!!

Happy Birthday to Tom T. Hall, Jessie Colter and me! Of that particular group, I am the youngest. This will probably not be posted for a few days so thanks to all who have wished me Happy Birthday so far. It is amazing to me, how I avoided all the crazy drug scene in the 60's; and that now that I am in my 60's, all the drugs I'm on. My date book is full of dr appointments, my life is filled with "did you take your meds"?; and, this morning, after I cleaned my glasses, there was this homely, fat, old woman glaring at me from the bathroom mirror.
What ever happed to the cute, little, blond cheerleader and fashion model? Does anyone else remember drinking out of the hose, instead of bottled water? Riding your bike, all day long and it wasn't stationary? Watched only 3 tv stations and if the president came on playing Monopoly.? Going down to the local highschool or civic center and eating a sugarcube laced with polio vaccine?
Eating REAL food? No high fructose corn syrup, no soy (except for cattle who ate seed cakes of soy), no Benzoate or MSG or other preservatives.?
One toy for Christmas and the enevitable underwear or shoes. Am I the only one who remembers the Sons of the Pioneers? Hopefully, some of us can remember enough of how to get through tough times, like Randy's song "tough times don't last, tough people do"; and we will all be better next year.

I've not posted these stats for awhile but thought i would today. I'm happy to say "I Told You So, the Ultimate Hits" is still hanging in there on the Top Country Albums Chart and is #52 for the chart dated 06/05, the same spot it held week of 05/29.

"Three Wooden Crosses, the Inspirational Hits of Randy Travis" has been on and off charts now and then but for the past three weeks, it has been back on the Top Country Albums Chart. For chart dated 05/29, it was #51 and chart dated 06/05, it is #65.

TWC also made a re-entry onto the
Top Christian Albums 05/29 chart at #34 but again did not appear on the 06/05/chart. It has, however, been on the
Top Christian Gospel Albums Chart, having made its re-entry on 05/29, for the past couple of weeks. It landed at #44 on 05/29 and is now #68 on the 06/05 chart.

Just thought i'd post these and wish you all a great Memorial Day.

Thank you for the chart information Linda. It is really appreciated. Good to see Randy back on the charts.

Happy Anniversary Randy and Elizabeth.

Thanks as always Linda, for the posting of the charts. Not doing too bad considering. Must be fans at his shows that are purchasing the albums keeping him chart active. Even if sparaticly. But a little is better then nothing. So I'll take it! gladly!

In October, I will have been married to that Marine for 40 years. Moses didn't have it this tough. God's Love Lindaruth

Happy Birthday! Oh yes, I remember very well the things you spoke about - the good ole days. I remember very well the Sons of the Pioneers. Yes, there were only 3 TV networks for many, many years. And we love the traditional country music of Randy Travis!

Happy birthday Lindaruth. I hope it was a memorable one full of enjoyable events .
Yes, I am among that generation who does remember all those things.
One of my favorite Statler Bro's songs is "Do You Remember These"?

I can definitely relate to never having taken drugs during my youth, But now find myself a walking human pharacutical company. Somehow it doesn't seem quite fair that you avoided those pit falls when young and impressionable ...and now find yourself dependent on so many to maintain your daily existence.
