9/11

I was only real young when this happened. I was in school and I was able to see the New York state from outside my window. All of a suddened, my class and I, all we were able to see were huge, black fogs. I quite didn't understand what was going on since I was still so young till later that day I saw the news and I didn't know what to say. I mean, I was crushed. All I wondering "Why us? We never did anything". It was one of the Sadest days I sure rememeber. God Bless to all the people we lost that day. They will be remembered always. And God Bless the troops who lost their lives as well saving others.

Take care

I had to go to the bank..They were talking about a plane that had crashed, didn't know where..Went to the dentist after the bank..Everyone was watching tv..I ask what's going on..Then I saw the second plane hit...I hope I never have to see anything like that again...
I'm old enough to remember the drills to hide under your desk jic...But this was real...

I was teaching on that day and the kids thought that it was a promo for a new action movie. They were talking about the awesome graphics and waiting to see what superhero would show up.

It wasn't until about 4:30 pm here in AZ, that I found out what had happened. As my USMC retired husband watched and shouted at the tv, I think I was numb. I couldn't believe that we had been attacked. Months later it came out that several flight schools here in the west side of PHX had contacted the authorities for months about the group of men wanting to learn all about the controls, but had no interest in taking off and landing.

The usual reports were filed and forgotten. I hope our current group of people, supposedly in charge , never forget.

Never ever ever forget 9 / 11.
God bless America.

I remember what a beautiful day it was here on the east coast. My husband was working outside with the radio on and came into the house and told me to turn on the tv because something was going on in NYC. I turned on the tv and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Soon after I watched the first tower fall and my thoughts immediately went out to all the people in that building and how they wouldn't have had any chance of getting out. I remember just feeling numb and all I wanted was to get my kids home from school. I also remember thinking of all my friends and family members that fly out of Logan airport and hoping that no one I knew was on that flight.

I doubt most will ever forget this day.

It was also brought to my attention last night that it was one year ago yesterday that hurricane Ike hit here in Texas. It was on our news story last evening only because one of our local people lost not only his brother in that storm but his mother and grandmother also. I can't imagine losing anyone in that manner let alone three family members at one time.

My prayers are with anyone who lost a friend, relative or direct family member on that day or any day for that matter.

god Bless.
