"Speaking a line"

Besides "Storms of Life" is there any other song in which Randy Travis "speaks" a line or two - rather than singing it? I'm sure some fan of his out there knows the answer.
Thanks, Dr Don Givens

Dee, yes, it is a cute song, a bit unusual. I found that middle part a bit annoying so admittedly, i edited my version to exclude all of it but the piano portion. . So now that is all i have to listen to during the middle and it came out kind of cool.

"Faith In You", where he says, "I wonder, have I made a difference" in anybody's life since I've been here.
It's interesting once you start thinking about it, just how many songs Randy has done ,where he speaks a word, or a few words, to a complete sentences or chorus. Dee

The duet with Tommy Shane Steiner isn't spoken but its like a conversation between two people. And his song with Kevin Mahogany has a lot of conversation in it.

Is a funny song. I like the song, but not all that blues stuff (can't think of what they call it, though I know there is a specific name for it) he (Kevin) does in between verses. The one with Tommy Shane Steiner "I Don't Need Another Reason" is also a cute song. Dee

There is a few songs where he does speak in a few lines:

ANGELS
I'D DO IT ALL AGAIN WITH YOU
IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME (The middle of the song he speaks)

In the Inspirational Journey album, there is the song "Feet On The Rock" He speaks for the first few seconds, then sings.

Have you heard him recite "I"d do it all again with your" Like a love song to his wife. Betty

You might also consider “Oscar“ toward the end when he sings about going back home after 10 years then says “I looked out for Oscar.” I’ve always liked this song and often make the machine play it over before moving on.

I finally found “Prairie Rose“ - it’s a lovely song and I’m really glad to have it in my collection.

Its' a beautiful piece that Randy wrote , if I'm not mistaken. "I Can See It In Your Eyes" also has a few spoken words.
"And I said" They are both beautiful expressions of his
love for his wife" . Dee

Don't forget "Feet on the Rock" where he speaks prior to getting into the song.
"I want to Talke to you for a minute" etc.

I had forgotten about that one Linda. Dee

Promises, where he says "She's just a woman". Then he had the recital on one of his greatest hits releases tited "I'd Do It All Again With You". Dee

I have another question, see above blog. Thanks.

Yes

No Place Like Home, Angels and It's Just a Matter of Time are the first ones that come to mind.
