Attention all fans of Randy Travis in Ireland! Randy will be performing in concerts in Ireland the first week of August 2009. Check it out on the "TOURS" section.
Dr Don Givens
I doubt anyone here can predict that far out since half the time we are almost lucky we find out about things coming up in the next few months. But never give up hope. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you.
I'm glad your station does play Randy now and then. Once in a great while we hear his older songs here but the last thing I heard here of the new songs was ""Dig Two Graves" and once he left town after his appearance in October, the station appeared to drop it like a "hot potato" as they say. I've not heard anything of the last release "Turn It Around" although one station that i know of is playing the RT/Carrie duet.
Again, welcome.

Any chance that Randy might be coming to Hawaii next year for a tour? I live on Big Island of Hawaii and have been watching Randy in films for some time and have always liked his music. Luckily our local radio station, KCIF - Hilo, plays his songs often, and sometimes 2 in a row.
Barbalu you are yet again even still luckier than us in the uk we have country on the radio one hour a week. But I dont class it as country because it is always weird music. Never Randy or anyone that you know it would be great just to have him on the radio or the tv. We had some luck we had American pop idol on that was fantastic to see him. Yet there are a lot of country fans in the uk so its hard to understand that we never get any on the radio.
I think you are all right I will wait and get someone else to plan next year
because I am hopeless. Or if I dont plan anything and leave it fate might help me out who knows but thank you all. Jackie
Yes that is really great for all the Irish fans but what about us in Britain. I have been a fan for twenty years and am really upset that Randy is not coming here not even for one date. I have come to the States twice in hopes of seeing a concert but no chance. But there is no chance of getting to Ireland because it is peak holiday weeks in Britain so we all lose out again. Or is what they say true that all the big stars only come to Britain when they are old or looking for the last pay check eg Dolly Kenny Willy the only real big country star that appeared in his prime was Box Car Willie and the man who made me love country Don Williams.
Maybe you weren't old enough at the time, or just don't remember, but early in Randy's career he did play at the Albert Hall in London .I have a video of his concert that was sent to me by a friend who lives in the United Kingdom, in London, who attended the show.
Last year he played Switzerland at there big jam fest along with Rhonda VIncent and others. So you never know ,he may make it back to the Albert Hall or other parts of London again . Dee
Thanks for letting me know that i never knew. So now i can hope he returns that would be fantastic. We were in Nashville when he was in Switzerland and the worst part about it it was the first time we ever came to America every other year we go to guess where Switzerland how is that for bad planing. We are coming to Nashville again this June because it was a fantastic place. But thank you for replying.
Last year he played at the CMA Fest ( I think it's called now.) For years it was called "Fan Fair".That is held in June in Nashville. Maybe that is what you are planning on attending. Maybe he will be on the Warner Brothers show again this year. If he is, then hopeully you'll get your opportunity to see him. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, that it turns out that way. And that you finally get your wish to see/hear him perform live. It is an experience no Randy fan ever forgets. Dee
Flossie, I think you need to get someone else to do your planning for you.
You know like the movie "The Wedding Planner". As you seem to be just missing ... no matter which side of the Atlantic he is on.
Whats that old saying? "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!".
One of these times you might just hit it right! I'll continue to keep my fingers crossed for you. Dee
Randy Travis will be doing concerts in Northern Ireland (Belfast) and in the Republic of Ireland the first week of August. Wonderful. Check it out on "TOUR."
