The River CD
Lademars.I got the River CD yesterday with the Randy song "I'm Not Him" by McAdoo & Perkins. I enjoyed the whole CD. (with the exception of Guitar Texas) which is a heavy guitar instrumental. But the remainder of the cd is a a nice mixture of country tunes and gospel offerings. All written by the two artist. I just thought I'd let you know that I did order it, and have received it.
Now if we would only get something new from the man himself.. Randy! I'll be a happy camper! :)

As far as I know Dee they don't sing (at least I have not heard them) they used to practice in our basement and I never heard them sing but I sure heard a lot of noise. They had a drummer who kept his drum set here, he is no longer with the group as he drowned last summer.
You are right about my son he is a big boy. I wish I could shrink him down a little.
I wondered too, Lademars, if the guys (your son and his friends) ever put lyrics to the melodies they write? For as I said ,that had a really nice sound to it. Curious to what kind of lyrics they would come up with to go with that nice melody.
But since you said none of them sing, I quess they probably don't even give writing lyrics a thought?
Sorry to hear of their other friend (drummer) having drowned last summer. Such a shame when young people are lost to their families and friends so early in life.

Nice sound to that intrumental. Now I do like pieces like that. But not that raucus loud stuff. Nice melody. Do any of them do vocals to any of the music they write?

Dee it's funny that you mentioned the Guitar Texas song because I got an email today from Jim Perkins letting me know that there is a new "Bloopers" video done to that song and also his new video ISABEL is also up now. Check them both out.

Didn't care for the song "Isabel". Looks like these guys use the same areas for their video's. lol
I did watch many of Randy's video's on youtube though. Reading many of the comments. Most of which are really in admiration of Randy the man and Randy the incredible talent....even after all these years.
Some did mention (on his latest performances) his voice seems to be weakening . But that could be particially attributed to his many allergies,along with aging . And it might also have something to do with his having Lyme disease. Though I'm not sure how that effects the voice/vocal cords. But even so, they still think he is the best country singer of our time. I certainly agree.

Dee thanks for letting me know you got the cd. I like it a lot too. Actually I love to listen to guitar solo's so I really enjoy "Guitar Texas." One of my favorite guitar solo's is "Classical Gas" which Mike Mcadoo also performs on youtube.
