I was excited to find a web site for Randy Travis fans..I couldn't wait to check the latest news about him and the latest blogs from all the fans..I don't know what has happened, but the blogs are getting few and far between...I don't know if people are not submitting them, or they are not being put on the website...It just isn't the same as when I joined...Does anyone have a reason???..I love reading comments, and miss them...

Wouldn't you know as soon as I said someting about not getting the blogs on this site in a timely manner...Mine was posted the very same day...Go figure...Anyway Thank You Randy Travis Team...We are all so eager to see new information, guess we get impatient..
I think we all responded to your blog because we completely understood what you were saying. No one feels as though you were criticizing, so don't worry about that. This is our site and therefore, it is probably up to us to make it work. You got the ball rolling with an interesting discussion topic. I for one think it's great. There should be more discussion, and it doesn't always have to be all sweetness and light...if someone has something to say that may not be what everyone wants to hear, all the better....we should listen and share without judging. I love nothing better than a good debate!
What Jasmin is doing is great too....sharing her thoughts on different Randy songs...we can all respond with our favourites and why we love them so much. Dr. Givens is going to share some of his stories, being a personal friend of Randy's. I'm loving it!

I want to say what a great pleasure it is to log on and see all the blogs from everyone...I didn't mean to say there are not any responses to the blogs that were posted...This is a great site..The best part is we all love Randy...It isn't political, religious, left wing, right wing, color, creed or anything...It's just a place where we can talk to everyone...I hope we can always have this...

I agree with Dr. Givens. Maybe because there isn't many Blogs going up because it takes few days to post, its the reason there isn't any change. I post Blogs once in a while, and sometimes I come on to answer posted Blogs. Keeps myself active on the site, but personally, I enjoy it. I can't wait to hear your story as well Dr. Givens, looking forward to it :)

I am an antique!! Back in the old days, there was a Fans OF Randy Travis site that was operated by Kyomi. We used to talk about a lot of things and the access to Randy was greater. Several of the fans got to go to fan events and there was even one time a "Randy Travis Van". This was just some fans that got together and picked up fans along the way to go to concerts in a few different places.
What we really enjoyed was getting to know each other as fans of REAL country music and big fans of Randy. Several of us had common interests and we even printed recipes. We talked about trying some of Randy's recipes from his cookbook and we had access to more pictures and calendars and posters.
He is older and so are we. Some of the fans just can't make it to the concerts with health and financial reasons. We still think that he is the greatest and wish him all the best, but sometimes he just seems too inaccessable to all but a few fans.
I miss the old paper fanclub letter and getting updates. Hope to see him next year. He doesn't appear to be coming here this year.

I really did enjoy reading your post Lindaruth. I agree with you though. I am one of the fans who can't travel to a closer state to see Randy Travis in concert, but it doesn't mean I won't give up being a fan. I never heard country music sound such wonderful when coming from Randy. I come on here to make friends with fans of Randy, and those who appreciate what traditional, classic country music is all about. And I appreciate the fans on here who are nice to each other and share such great frienship with each other. I appreciate that very much and thank y'all very much :)

i was thinking the same thing...when I log in, there's not much that is new...it almost seems as though people are becoming less interested...don't know it that's true, but once Randy releases his next album, i'm sure things will pick up...I hope so!...and I hope that will be soon!
One reason, probably, for there being less and less blogs is because they take several days to get posted now. So fewer people are blogging.
BTW, I speak to Randy Travis personally the night of April 21st; I will surely post something about what we talked about.
