I know it isn't a fair question...Everyone answers it different..It doesn't matter if you have a lot to say or a little..The important thing is we get to
express how we feel...I think it's what this site is about...Thanks to all for joining in...
Well, let me just say, if everyone is going to make lists instead of just picking one or two (which I realize is hard to do), it might just be easier to pick our least favorites.
I truly loved them all but just wanted to keep my list to a minimum since I truly do love them all. One of my least favorites, and I've said this all along, is Card Carrying Fool. That's not to say i don't like it, it isn't something I play on a regular basis. On PT, it is My Daddy Never Was and on Around the Bend, it truly is the title song itself.
Even though I am not as fond of them as I am many many others, with that voice, one can't help but like them just a little (lol).

Every album he puts out has one for me. For example "Passing Through" has "Angels" and "Around The Bend" has "Dig Two Graves" . So for me it is what is your favorite for each album.
Hi,
Choose only one favorite song that's nearly impossible for me. I might could narrow it down to a half a dozen from each album. (smiling but not joking). I rarely buy anyone else's albums unless it's a greatest hits album. Because I found that I m lucky if I really like 6 or 7 of the songs on an album, usually even then I only really love maybe 3 or 4 of them (meaning wanting to play them frequently). So I have very few albums of anyone else mostly greatest hits collections or I download individual songs. Or those compilations of various artists songs (pop, rock, country, oldies). I have a few albums of mostly Conway Twitty, Johnny Rodriquez, Rick Nelson, early George Strait and Alan Jackson but the number of albums I have the most of is Elvis Presley and Randy and oddly enough David Soul.
But my very favorite songs of Randy's would be I Can See It In Your eyes from Passing Through, A Horse Called Music, Just A Matter Of Time, Digging Up Bones, Turn It Around, I'd Surrender All, If It's Not One Thing It's Another, Good Intentions, Angels, I Wish It Would Rain, Promises and (Running Blind because it shows off his vocal range). That's my top 12 favorite non gospel songs. But I'm leaving out so many. Can I make it my top 20 cause I can't forget I Told So You So, He Walked On Water, Dig Two Graves, Spirit Of A Boy Wisdom Of A Man, Three Wooden Crosses, If I Didn't Have You, The Box and Wind In The Wire. But on second thought can I make that my top 40? LOL! I also love, On The Other Hand, Deeper Than The Holler, Heroes and Friends, Four Walls, From Your Knees, Day One, Better Class Of Losers, Heart Of Hearts, Highway Junkie, Right On Time, The Hole, The Bible And The Farmer's Almanac, High Lonesome, This Is Me, Train Long Gone, My Poor Old Heart, etc. I just cannot narrow my favorites down to under 40. He has written, co-written and found so many outstanding songs and done them with such feeling and vocal craftsmanship. I can't pick just a few favorite songs! Help, I've fallen in love with this man's talent and I can't escape! LOL!

Update:I can't believe that I forgot Oh, What A Time To Be Me, Allergic to The Blues and Point Of Light from the High Lonesome album!! I was reminded when I checked Ebay for the sheet music of High Lonesome Randy signed for charity that's up for auction.

ok this is a hard one as he has sooooooo many to choose from
but I have to say there are 2 that stand out for me, one is whisper my name which melts me every time and the other is Point of light which has meant a lot to me ever since I first heard it.
Take care

Others have already pointed out how difficult this is to answer. But.. for me, it’s a toss-up between “I Can Almost Hear Her Wings” and “You and You Alone.” Also have to mention another one that makes me stop and listen is “It’s Just a Matter of Time.”
Yess I loveee all songs by Randy travis but no doubt that my favorite is "Whisper My Name" Ever since the first time I ever heard the song, my heart melted. "Whisper My Name" has to be my favorite.
Mine is between "A Man Ain't Made of Stone" and "Let Me Try" (from the High Lonesome CD). But then.........."On the Other Hand" is so smooth and well sung....(aren't they ALL?!?!).
My favorite Randy Travis song is - wow this is hard, they're all great - but I must say "Storms of Life." (I wonder why??? don't have a clue, :) ha)

As others have already said, it is difficult to name just one since often it depends on my mood.
I've said before i'm a sucker for the balads I think. On the country front, i think it may be I Won't need You Anymore and Just a Matter of Time. On the Christian genre, Through the Fire has to be one of my very favorites.

Very Difficult!! I have quite a few favorites. My favorites are:
1982
Angels
Forever and Ever Amen
Pray for the Fish
These are just some.
I could list many others, but I won't write out a big list.
Can't remember all of the songs with the low notes, that I also enjoy.
Mine in "We Ain't Out of Love Yet"
It was never released as a single, but I just love the song.

This has been asked before and it is practically impossible to answer but I guess there are a few that are more near and dear to my heart such as...
Angels- I have loved this one from the moment I heard it.
On the Other Hand- easy, it was the first one I heard him sing.
Just a Matter of Time- love this one live in concert. Love, love the low notes! Plus we get to hear him say Darlin' a couple of times in this one.
Promises-there is something really special about this song-just the man and his guitar.
Every album he puts out has one for me. For example "Passing Through" has "Angels" and "Around The Bend" has "Dig Two Graves" . So for me it is what is your favorite for each album.
